Nissan, one of the world's most popular automakers, has launched the new Altima, and it has garnered plenty of attention from car enthusiasts. The new Altima hasn't made significant upgrades to its exterior look, but it has brought in new safety features for 2020. This includes automatic-emergency braking, automatic-high beam lighting and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These features come via Safety Shield 360, which is a suite of advanced-safety components. Other upgrades included are memory-mirror settings, and there's a new piano-black trim that's available. Learn more below and then browse new Altima sedans for sale.Â
The 2020 Nissan Altima looks stellar from all angles of viewing. This particular vehicle sports a dynamic front fascia that looks very aggressive. Of course, the V-Motion grille is still present with its dark chrome color. The vehicle's LED headlamps are well-crafted as they appear to flow right into the grille. Chrome accents can be found on the door handles, and striking contours can be found on the body. The new Nissan Altima offers an abundance of technological features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's also a USB port for connecting external devices. Bose audio has been equipped in this sedan. This nine-speaker system produces earth-shattering sound quality. Depending on the trim of choice, the Altima will come in front and all-wheel drive. Other features included are an eight-inch touchscreen display, aluminum-alloy wheels, leather-appointed seats and interior-woodgrain accents.
Nissan has used its ingenuity by introducing the world's first variable-compression turbo engine. This 2.0-liter V6 cranks out as much as 236 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. Acceleration is fast and furious thanks to the vehicle's forced-induction system. Fuel efficiency is also good as drivers will get at least 25 mpg in the city while receiving 35 mpg on the open highway. The 2.5-liter direct-injected engine utilizes an XTRONIC continuously variable transmission. Up to 188 ponies are present under the hood, and drives will get 180 pound-feet of torque. Whatever your driving environment may be, Altima's intelligent all-wheel drive system will provide tremendous traction when needed.
The new Altima has been built with a plethora of advanced-safety feature. Its Rear Cross-Traffic Alert technology can detect if anything is behind the vehicle, and there's Pedestrian Detection. Nissan utilizes plenty of radar-based sensors to scan around the vehicle as well as to scan the highways. Blind-Spot Monitoring will alert the driver when another vehicle is your actual blind spot. Total protection of the passengers can be expected thanks to the incorporation of 10-standard airbags.
