Updates on the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder

It may have been fully redesigned last year, but the Pathfinder enters the 2018 model year with even more appealing updates. Our 2018 Nissan Pathfinder review has all the details you're looking for in regards to these changes--don't forget to check out the photo gallery, video and independent comparisons! Learn more below and then view new Pathfinder models on our site.

The latest edition of the Nissan Pathfinder throws in even more standard features, including driver-assist technologies that boost safety and convenience. The 2018 model adds standard radar cruise control that automatically adjusts following distance and Automatic Emergency Braking which warns drivers of impending accidents and can assist in applying brake pressure if the driver does not respond. Also newly available for 2018 is a Rear Door Alert system that'll warn you when you may have forgotten something in the backseat.

If you purchase or lease a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SL in the Phoenix area, you can look forward to NissanConnect with Navigation and Services, which is now standard on the model. You can also opt for an SL Midnight Edition. Previously only offered on the Pathfinder Platinum, the Midnight Edition is a great choice if you want an edgy look, which is achieved with 20-inch Midnight Edition aluminum-alloy wheels, black mirror caps and a black spoiler.

Standard Features on the Nissan Pathfinder

Shoppers can find the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder at our dealership in Scottsdale, and there are several well-appointed trim options: Pathfinder S, Pathfinder SV, Pathfinder SL and Pathfinder Platinum.

The seven-passenger SUV features three rows of seating as well as ample cargo room and standard amenities starting at the base level. This includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, HD radio, satellite radio, SiriusXM Travel Link with a three-year free trial, keyless entry and push-button ignition, a backup camera and tri-zone A/C.

Many other premium features are added as standard above the base level as well, such as a rear sonar system on the SV and up, and a motion activated liftgate on the SL and up. Finally, at the top of the pack, Platinum models add next-level luxury with a Bose audio system, heated and cooled seats, 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, LED low-beam projector headlights and more.

Torque & Horsepower on the Nissan Pathfinder

The Nissan Pathfinder is known for its class-leading tow rating of 6,000 pounds, which is made possible by its highly capable powertrain. The SUV comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that rates in at 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, and the engine is mated to an Xtronic automatic transmission with D-Step Logic Control. Both FWD and AWD are available and EPA fuel economy estimates are similar no matter the drivetrain you select: 27 highway/20 city mpg with FWD and 26 highway/19 city mpg with AWD. After finishing our 2018 Nissan Pathfinder review, contact us to schedule a test drive and try out the powertrain!

Protecting You on Every Path

Pathfinder won a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety last year and it's anticipated that the 2018 Pathfinder will earn the same honor. Along with receiving excellent ratings in IIHS crash tests, the SUV's front collision avoidance technology--Automatic Emergency Braking--also received good scores.

In addition to this technology, the Nissan Pathfinder is equipped with several other safety features that offer great protection, including Zone Body construction with crumple zones up front and in back, steel side-door guard beams, Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control System, tire pressure monitoring and the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, among other equipment.
