A Nissan executive told Auto Express last month that is automaker is considering creating a brand-new platform that will accommodate full range of electric and hybrid cars.

Nissan is working with their research and analysis arm, Nissan Arc Ltd., to increase the performance and power in their lithium-ion batteries.
