Changes on the 2017 Nissan Rogue

The new Nissan Rogue has received big changes this year, including the addition of its first-ever hybrid model and a new limited-production Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition. Furthermore, the SUV has received a styling update with a new front fascia, V-Motion grille, redesigned lights and bumpers, and available new 19-inch wheels. In addition, it gains more features and added sound insulation to provide a quieter ride. Continue Pinnacle Nissan's 2017 Nissan Rogue review below for more information about this year's lineup.

Rogue Trim Levels & Features

Like the 2016 Nissan Rogue, this year's lineup continues to offer S, SV and SL trim levels and a roomy interior with many features, including standard Bluetooth phone/audio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a Rearview Monitor and Nissan's famous Divide-N-Hide Cargo System.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue in Scottsdale builds on last year's success with a revised interior that uses more upscale materials. The SUV also adds new available features like a motion-activated liftgate, heated steering wheel and remote engine start, as well as a new Platinum Reserve Interior Package that includes tan leather seats with quilted leather inserts. The brand-new Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition is highlight this year too, offering exclusive features like a clear bumper protector with a Star Wars logo, Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance logos on the D-pillar, backlit Star Wars doorsill plates and other neat, film-inspired touches.

Rogue Horsepower, Torque & MPG

When driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue in the Phoenix area, you'll enjoy high fuel efficiency. The gas-only model uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with the standard CVT engine and front-wheel drive, EPA fuel economy estimates are 26 city/33 highway/28 combined mpg, while all-wheel drive ratings come in at 25/32/28.

The all-new Nissan Rogue Hybrid is also an excellent SUV for Phoenix-area drivers. It gets an advanced 176-hp hybrid powertrain composed of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 30kW electric motor and lithium-ion battery. Projected fuel economy estimates for the hybrid are impressive at 33 city/35 highway/34 combined mpg (FWD).

Rogue Safety Tech & IIHS Award

If you're looking for a safe family SUV, 2017 Nissan Rogue reviews say security is one of the Rogue's highpoints. Along with standard safety features like LATCH, Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control and the Nissan Advanced Airbag System, Rogue also offers state-of-the-art driver-assist technologies. Notable systems include Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. The 2017 Rogue has also earned a Top Safety Pick+ award, which is the highest honor that a vehicle can receive from the IIHS.
