Newsweek readers love sharing their thoughts on popular auto manufacturers, and they turned out again for the 2026 model year. Nissan took top honors across seven Readers' Choice categories, a major win for a brand focused on delivering great cars. Drivers definitely noticed in 2026.

Nissan Wins in Seven Categories

It is impressive that Nissan won seven categories in the 2026 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards, but sweeping every category they were nominated in is even more notable. A 100% win rate gives the Nissan team plenty of reason to celebrate.

The awards cover top categories: No. 1 Best Brand Dealership Experience, Best Truck Brand, Best SUV Brand, and Best Car Brand. Specific models won their segments as well. The Nissan Rogue earned No. 1 Best New SUV, while the Frontier took No. 1 Best New Truck. The Altima finished second in the Best New Car class, just behind the top-ranked Nissan Sentra.

Tiago Castro, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing & Sales at Nissan and INFINITI, said that winning all nominated categories shows strong customer confidence. Nissan continues to deliver what drivers value across all models and dealership experiences.

Newsweek's team praised Nissan's victories as a standout accomplishment in this year's program. Readers were impressed by the 2026 Nissan Sentra, which packs more standard features than other sedans in its segment, and the upcoming 2027 Nissan Frontier, praised for capability and smart features.

For buyers who prefer domestic manufacturing, the Frontier is assembled at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi facility. The factory recently celebrated building its 1 millionth Frontier truck, highlighting Nissan's status as America's fastest-growing mainstream brand.
