A cross between the standard Nissan Juke and high-performance Nissan GT-R, the Juke-R has been pegged as the world's first crossover supercar. When it debuted in 2011, it blew critics away with its ability to jet from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds, and now, Nissan has captured everyone's attention once again with the recent unveiling of the new-and-improved Juke-R 2.0.
If you thought the original Nissan Juke-R was a beast of a vehicle, just take a look at the upgraded Juke-R 2.0. The new model produces an astounding 600 horsepower, blowing past the previous model's output of 545 horsepower, which is achievable with the GT-R NISMO's 3.8L V-6 engine. It also features significant exterior modifications, including matte black wheel arches, side sills and front/rear bumpers that are all made from carbon fiber. Strong, aggressive and more powerful than ever before, the updated Juke-R 2.0 is a true representation of Nissan and its push toward innovation.
"The Juke-R has become an iconic Crossover supercar and with the launch of the latest Juke model last year, it was the natural choice to upgrade the original Juke-R with added power and even bolder styling," said Gareth Dunsmore, Marketing Communications General Manager for Nissan Europe. "The Juke-R 2.0 is a perfect 'crossover' of the best bits of Nissan - real innovation showcasing our Crossover prowess fused with the excitement of the GT-R supercar engine."
