We're still a couple years away from seeing an all-new Nissan GT-R, but with many fans itching to know what Nissan has up their sleeve, information about the upcoming model is beginning to be released. Just recently, Nissan's Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura, confirmed a few details about the next-generation GT-R that are sure to have car enthusiasts everywhere excited about its future release.
According to Nakamura, we can expect to see an all-new Nissan GT-R hit the market as early as 2018. It's expected to have similar front and rear elements as the Vision Turismo Concept available in "Gran Turismo 6," but it will not be based off the virtual car. Unlike the concept, which is a mid-engined car, the next-gen GT-R will be a front-engined 2+2-seater coupe. It will also be the first GT-R to arrive as a hybrid model, leading to improved fuel efficiency.
While we wait for the new GT-R to arrive, the current-generation model will continue to be revised each year and sold at dealerships across the nation. The latest 2015 Nissan GT-R is available now, so contact Pinnacle Nissan to see if one is in stock and come take it for a test drive!
