While you already know that you are getting a solid and reliable car when you purchase a Nissan, there's always the possibility that parts can be defective or not work correctly. To ensure your satisfaction when purchasing a new vehicle, Nissan equips its new cars with standard factory warranties. Nissan's warranties are designed to cover all expenses associated with repairing and replacing original manufacturer parts that are faulty due to problems with material or workmanship. Additional protection coverage is also offered through supplemental MPP plans which extend beyond what the original factory warranties provide.

Powertrain Warranty

The Powertrain Warranty will cover the charges associated with repairing or replacing components in the car's powertrain system. This comprehensive warranty includes all major components, including the engine, transmission, and transaxle. It is valid for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

New Vehicle Warranty

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers expenses for repairing or replacing original components that are defective due to defects or faulty workmanship during everyday vehicle operating conditions. This basic coverage provides protection for up to 36,000 miles or 36 months, whichever comes first.

Emissions Coverage

Emissions systems are also covered by Nissan's factory warranties. The Emission Performance warranty will remedy any issue in your vehicle which causes it to fail an approved emissions test during the first 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The Emission Defects warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship which would cause your vehicle not to meet applicable emission standards. This warranty is for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. In addition, certain vital emission components are covered for up to 8 years or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Corrosion Warranty

For the first 60 months of ownership, Nissan provides corrosion coverage for any body sheet metal panels damaged from rust perforation under normal circumstances, regardless of miles driven. Perforation is a condition in which any body sheet metal panel has corroded from one surface through to another.

Seat Belt Warranty

To ensure your safety, Nissan provides a Safety Belt Limited Warranty that is  valid for the first ten years of ownership. This warranty covers replacement costs for seat belts or related components that fail to function properly during normal use. Warranty repairs are free of charge for parts and labor.

MPP Plans

When a factory warranty expires, or if your current vehicle doesn't have standard factory coverage, you can purchase supplemental coverage from Pinnacle Nissan through MPP plans for added peace of mind. MPP coverage includes extended service contracts, warranty coverage for older Nissan models, GAP coverage, and lease wear protection.
