Arguably the most potent figure during the pop art movement, Andy Warhol is an icon in the visual realm. The late American artist known for his bright, vibrant works, which often featured famous celebrities, has influenced many well-known contemporary artists today. Many travel to The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pa., each year just to get a glimpse of some of his famous artwork in person; however, from now until June 21 you can view several of his portraits right in Arizona at the Phoenix Art Museum.

The Andy Warhol "Portraits" exhibit features close to 200 works from the artist that were created during the 1960s, '70s and '80s. Many of his most notable celebrity pieces, including his depictions of Prince, Sylvester Stallone and Marilyn Monroe, are currently on display and will remain at the museum throughout the duration of the exhibit. A variety of self-portraits, family photos, Polaroids and silkscreens are also being showcased, giving attendees a look at the artist's personal life. If you'd like to view the Andy Warhol "Portraits" exhibit, you can purchase tickets onsite at the Phoenix Art Museum. Admission prices range from $6-$15; children under five get in free.
