We are sad to report that Nissan's beloved SUV, the Xterra, will officially be removed from the U.S. market following the 2015 model year. A valued member of the Nissan family since it was introduced in 1999, the Xterra was once the leading compact SUV in the automaker's lineup, but has since taken a backseat to newer SUVs, such as the Nissan Rogue. However, its trail-ready build is still praised by critics today, and before it takes its final bow later this year, you still have a chance to purchase a new Xterra right here at Pinnacle Nissan.

The decision to axe the Xterra was not an easy one for Nissan, but one they believed they needed to make. In order to keep producing models, the brand would have to make multiple changes to accommodate today's automotive regulations, and with other key models in their lineup, they felt it would be better to redirect their focus to these vehicles. The decision marked the end for the Xterra - one of the few remaining body-on-frame SUVs still on the market. Those who admire the Xterra and its capabilities can still nab a 2015 model, which comes with a couple new features, including a USB port, iPod interface and NissanConnect with Mobile Apps. Stop by Pinnacle Nissan to check out each model in stock and take one for a test drive before it's too late!
