The incoming Nissan Sentra and Altima models have not yet landed in Phoenix, but when they do, they'll feature brand-new styling. For the 2016 model year, Nissan has decided to heavily update the popular nameplates in order to stay ahead of the competition and remain a fixture in the compact and midsize sedan segments.

Many details have not been released regarding the new models, but we do know they will be significant. The Sentra is expected get new technology and fresh design enhancements, which could take inspiration from the European Nissan Pulsar. If this proves to be true, the upcoming Sentra could feature new dramatic headlights, a V-shaped grille and upgraded LED running lights. The Altima, on the other hand, could offer exceptional fuel economy, and share design cues with the all-new Maxima and Murano.

Dan Bedore, Nissan North America Director of Product Communications, recently confirmed the 2016 Sentra and Altima would be refreshed and also said they would arrive on the market later this year. A specific release date has not been given, but we assume the new models will be unveiled sooner rather than later. In the meantime, stop by Pinnacle Nissan and check out the 2015 Nissan and Altima models, which are on sale now.
