Welcome to Pinnacle Nissan's Pathfinder Review

Revitalized in 2013, the Nissan Pathfinder bears little to no resemblance to its former self, and by looking at its spike in sales since the fourth generation models debuted, that's a very good thing. Its exterior design, interior, powertrains and performance were all modified to enhance the SUV, giving it new appeal. And, the initiative worked so well that Nissan decided to introduce a brand new Pathfinder Hybrid edition for 2014. The eco-friendly sister model stands as the biggest change to the Pathfinder lineup for the new year. However, the non-hybrid Pathfinder reveals a new SL Tech Package that is sure to impress buyers with a knack for electronics. The fourth generation Nissan Pathfinder is better than ever, offering best-in-class, fuel-efficient powertrains, a spacious interior, top performance and a wide range of amenities. Joining the SUV's laundry list of options are a bundle of new features available through the SL Tech Package. Equipped with all the Pathfinder's most technologically advanced functions such as an eight-inch color touchscreen display, a voice-activated navigation system, a 13-speaker Bose audio system and Bluetooth Streaming Audio, the package, noted by early 2014 Nissan Pathfinder reviews, is a worthy upgrade. With a subscription to SiriusXM, buyers can also access XM NavTraffic and NavWeather through the navigation system.

Available in two-wheel- and four-wheel-drive, the Pathfinder Hybrid cruises onto the scene for 2014, providing a more fuel-efficient, "green" alternative to the regular Pathfinder. Powered by a 15kW electric motor, a li-ion battery and a supercharged 2.5L four-cylinder engine, the hybrid produces 250 net horsepower and 243 lb.-ft. of torque. It also features a driving range of up to 526 miles and stores the li-ion battery underneath the third row seat, providing just as much space as the non-hybrid Pathfinder. No matter which model you choose, it's clear to see why the Nissan Pathfinder has awakened a new following, and there are no signs of it dwindling down.
