Nissan is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the original Skyline GT-R by releasing a 2016 GT-R Gold Edition. Based on the GT-R's Premium trim, the model will sport an all gold exterior paint job, giving it a unique look, and be released in limited quantities. The U.S. market is currently expected to receive less than 30 versions of the car, so don't wait to get yours.

The 2016 Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition is an eye-catching vehicle. Aside from the previously mentioned gold paint job, which was featured on the 2001 Skyline GT-R M-Spec, the car comes with a gold-tone VIN plate inside the engine compartment and a commemorative plaque on the center console. It is also outfitted with all the same components as the GT-R Premium, including a 3.8L twin turbo V-6 engine, delivering 550 horsepower and 463 lb.-ft. of torque. Additionally, 20-spoke RAYS aluminum-alloy wheels have been fitted to the model, replacing the previous 10-spoke wheels. Inside, the car features performance bucket seats, a standard Bose sound system, leather hand-stitching and leather appointments, giving the car an upscale appearance.

Further information about the arrival of the 2016 Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Edition has not been released, but we expect to receive more details in coming months.
