With the Rogue's global sister vehicle, the X-Trail Hybrid, getting ready to go on sale in Japan, rumors are beginning to swirl about a possible Rogue Hybrid model coming to the U.S. The compact crossover, which is currently Nissan's second best-selling model in America, could make quite the impression on the North American market if a hybrid version goes into production.

No announcements have been made about a Rogue Hybrid model in the U.S., but Nissan also has not denied claims that one may see the light of day. If following in the footsteps of the X-Trail Hybrid, the U.S. Rogue Hybrid could produce an EPA-estimated 48 mpg combined, deliver more torque than the gas version and reduce nitrous oxide emissions by 75 percent. With Rogue sales currently up by 28 percent in the U.S. compared to last year, which translates to 64,000 more units being sold, now may be a good time for the Japanese brand to consider introducing a hybrid model in North America. Available now at Pinnacle Nissan, the gas-powered 2015 Nissan Rogue could use a sister vehicle in the U.S.in order to dominate the compact crossover segment and break new sales records across North America. However, until then, stop by Pinnacle Nissan to view the exceptional standard Rogue today.
