When progressive-house music producer, Deadmau5, received a cease-and-desist letter from Ferrari USA's lawyer for having a Nyan Cat wrap on his 458 Italia, he decided to sell the car. Apparently, Ferrari is a little uptight about having their vehicles wrapped with rainbow-trailed cat graphics. Nissan's on the opposite side of the fence though. After all, why shouldn't you be able to have fun personalizing your own sports cars?

This presented the perfect opportunity for Nissan to troll Ferrari with an awesome mockup of a possible replacement for Deadmau's "Purrari." On Sept. 3, the company showed that (unlike Ferrari) it's got a sense of humor about these things, tweeting an image of a Nissan GT-R with a Nyan Cat wrap, along with the following message:

Hey @deadmau5, heard what happened to your car. Good news? We found a replacement, ready right meow. #GTR

The image looks pretty real, but sadly the wrap is just Photoshopped onto a picture of the GT-R. The artist even thought to add an extra special touch: Below the GT-R emblem, he or she included Deadmau5's logo and the word "Spec."  We personally think the wrap looks better on GT-R than it did on the Ferrari and we'd love to see a real version of it one day! If cats with Pop Tart bodies aren't your taste, don't worry. We have plenty of 2014 and 2015 Nissan GT-Rs in stock that you can customize however you see fit!
