Learn about astronomy and gaze at some of the most prominent constellations in space during Family Star Night at the Challenger Space Center on Saturday, August 9. An incredible event for all ages, Family Star Night gives you the chance to find out everything you've ever wanted to know about our solar system and the stars through interactive components that make the experience fun for everyone. Attendees will also have the chance to view a series of star clusters and planets through several high-powered telescopes, giving them a close-up look at the night sky and all of its beauty.

Running from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Family Star Night offers a range of activities for families to partake in, including a simulated launch into space and an interactive slide presentation, where pro stargazer Tony LaConte gives a lesson on the planets and constellations while intertwining folklore. Following the lecture, visitors will have the chance to visit Scout Corner and take a look at some of the stars and planets, using different telescopes - a perfect end to the night.

If you're interested in attending Family Star Night on August 9, admission is $7 per person and $15 per Scout; children under three get in free.
